ITINERARY The itinerary can be modified
Day 1: Arrival Abidjan
Fly to Abidjan, the capital city of Côte d'Ivoire. On arrival, you will be met and transfer to your hotel. D
Day 2: Abidjan – Grand Bassam
Visit the St Paul Cathedral, the Musée des Civilisations, the Craft Centre of Abidjan before paying a visit to the “Fanicos du Banco” the laundrymen going by their daily job of washing clothes. Drive to Grand Bassam and visit the National Museum of Costume, the district called Quartier France and its vestiges. BLD
Day 3: Abidjan – Abengourou
Drive to Abengourou. Make a stop in the village of Aniausse, known as the village for féticheurs before driving to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the residence of the King of the Agni tribe. BLD
Day 4: Abengourou - Yamoussoukro
Drive to Yamoussoukro; make a stop in village of Toumodi to witness a rhythmic performance of the talking drums. Visit the spectacular Basilica Our Lady of Peace, the city, which will include a trip to the Lake of the Sacred Caimans. BLD
Day 5: Yamoussoukro – Bouaflé – Man
Journey towards Man, located in the western part of the country. Make a stop in Bouaflé to discover the Gouro people and the Zaouli dance. Continue to Man and on the way visit some coffee and cocoa plantations. BLD
Day 6: Man
Visit one of the waterfalls in Cote d’Ivoire, the Cascades of Man. In the afternoon, discover the local masks and traditional dances like the Stilt dance. BLD
Day 7: Man – Bouaké
Drive to Bouaké, in the centre of the country via Bomizambo, a Baoulé village known for its sacred mask: the Goli and also for its weavers called the tisserands. Witness a Goli Mask performance and see the tissérands at work. BLD
Day 8: Bouaké - Korhogo
Drive to Korhogo meet the mysterious Senoufos. Visit the tisserands village of Waraniéné; enjoy the Bolo dance or panther dance during a ceremony that is organised during the release of the initiates of the sacred wood. BLD
Day 9: Korhogo
Journey to the village Niofouin and visit the sacred hut of the village while learning about the mysteries surrounding the hut. See the villagers in their day to day occupations. BLD
Day 10: Korhogo – Boundiali
Drive to Boundiali, visit the city and discover its history before enjoying a performance of local dances and cultures. BLD
Day 11: Boundiali - Kong
Make your way to Kong for a visit to the beautiful baked mud mosque of Kong. In the afternoon, walk around the city of Kong and learn more about its history. BLD
Day 12: Kong – Bouaké
Bid farewell to Kong and journey for 4 hours to Bouaké. Stop on route for lunch. BLD
Day 13: Bouaké – Abidjan
Drive back to Abidjan. In the evening, watch a dance show at the Village Kiyi-M’Bock. BLD
Day 14: Depart Abidjan
Enjoy the morning at leisure relaxing or visit one of the many art markets of the metropole. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight home. BL
